Clearly Rustad doesn't understand carbon taxes. Usually the tax goes on when it is consumed, not on when it is transported or extracted. It would be like charging GST on imported coal that is shipped to Asia. Doesn't make much sense.

This is just not good policy. Retailers having to update all their systems. And what happens after 2 months? People will just be back to complaining. Will have no long term benefit at a significant cost.
