I work at Target. Today we were busier than on any single day between black Friday and Christmas. Not only is the boycott not working but it appears there is a concerted effort to undermine it.

Republicans fear their base, Democrats detest theirs.

As a teenager the only thing I was able to find to help with insomnia was cannabis, but too many years of using that ended up making the problem far worse than it was in the first place and now I have to figure out a whole detox program

I have not slept for longer than 4 hours at a time since I was (???) years old. My state of alertness has always been that of someone who mainlines black coffee in their sleep

Well, now it's localized to certain problem areas. It goes back and forth between pain I can point to locally and totally diffuse.

I'm in constant physical pain all the time.

No medicating it.

It's taking its toll on my sanity. One would think that eventually one would become desensitized to that particular source of pain but it never comes. It's just a never-ending wellspring of suffering, year after year after decade

Started coughing at work. Got some cough syrup. Tussin / Mucinex. Only took the proper dose in the little plastic cup. Got drowsy, passed out but didn't really sleep. Came to with my heart pounding hard and fast. Both are common side effects but I'd never experienced either before. Changing with age

I just made a new Meta account after having deleted my old one six months ago. I opened FB as a new user, told it my age and that I'm male, and so far my news feed is about 85% posts from alt right and incel groups. This is what boys and men of all ages are being shown the instant they get online.

My dad died here too. He wasnt from here, moved here late in life, didn't make friends. Needed some help in the end so I came here. He died and now Im stuck here, no friends, shit job, getting sicker by the day.
