The beauty of being an adult is the ability to choose to do things you weren’t allowed to as a kid. Play claw machines or carnival games if you want to. Have ice cream for dinner. Have soup for breakfast. Life is complicated, so it’s worth it to make room for silly little joys.

As I was becoming an adult, my mom gave me this advice: when times are tough, do the best you can to make sure you eat well - it will make it easier to cut back on other things. It’s worked pretty well for me.
