This is Dolphin, the kitten hit by a car. Right ankle dislocated, left humerus is broken, both sides of pelvis have breaks. She is anemic and running a fever. The last 2 need to be resolved before any surgeries.

This big tomcat has been seen with this lid stuck on him for 6 months. No one has ever been able to catch him. It is biting deep into his flesh. He is at the SCAWC clinic getting the medical help he needs, and losing his trouble puffs to add insult to injury.

Black kitten when she was first picked up. She is at Progressive Veterinary hospital now and will have surgery soon.

A large feral tabby had a hard plastic lid stuck around his body, cutting deep into his flesh. He apparently has been like this for 6 months but couldn't be trapped.

I deleted the app. Used it twice like 6 months ago and it was just sitting there. No plans to replace it with any other. While AI is useful, it is not worth the cost to our environment and the disruption of people’s lives living near the monstrosities that run it.

🙀 Juniper first show of interest in anything! I didn’t have my phone when she first came to the front to watch Itty Bitty and Mikie play. She had her chin on the pillow and looked so cute. 😻 2 full months I have waited for this! Video to follow!

I get more engagement on BS than FB for sure. Life gets in the way of remembering to post though… last week my power went out and I needed $1000 of bush clearing before the power company could even get to the pole to tell me I needed an electrician.
So many .org are run by a handful of volunteers.

We have had very limited surgery spots since early December. Next week we have been given 35 spots! However, that means our clinic bill will be between $2000-$2500 for the week.

We are up to our ears in kittens — and kitten season hasn’t even fully hit. Calls. Texts. Emails. Every single day. New colonies. Pregnant females. Friendly cats dumped at Altoona Lagoon and around the island. Well-meaning visitors feeding cats on vacation — with no plan for when they leave. 😿 Next week the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center has expanded surgery capacity for us Tuesday–Thursday. We need to fill those spots. But our USVI Department of Agriculture grant (due January 1) is still delayed — and the cats cannot wait for that check. Every TNVR costs us $55–$75.
