Looks like KOSA is back yet again, so we have to keep the pressure up here and make sure it finally stays dead once & for all.

A webpage section titled "The Bills" lists and briefly describes eight proposed bills related to internet regulation and privacy in colored boxes.

So what can you do? 🤔

1. Continue pressuring your lawmakers, let them know how unpopular and dangerous censorship and surveillance bills are.

2. Spread the word! Many people have no idea the internet they know and love is under threat.

I sadly can't do much here for these Senators, though I've been calling my own to try & push them towards the Dem deal but I live in Texas, those of you that live in these states please call your Senators and tell them to not cave to the Republicans.

Please call your local senators. Advise them not to cave to the republicans deals. If you live local to any of these senators please call. The folks around the country count on you to speak up.

This wouldn't just ban federal funds from directly funding gender-affirming care, it would be an effective ban on ANY facility that receives ANY federal funding for ANY reason from providing gender-affirming care.

It's a de-facto ban.

if your energy levels are low, or if you deal with a lot of anxiety, i do want to stress that you dont have to do it all at once, you can break it up, ie: one day you call about Bills, the next day you call about issue 1, etc

No one will yell at you or tell you no. Some poor staffing intern will take your call and tell you they’re going to forward your message to the senator/representative. Calling your representatives is so easy, you will not receive any pushback.

Be polite but assertive! We are the will of the people!

Legitimate organization that has a history of success and direct impact, I already signed and donated. Consider it if you don't want to lose your favorite shows/books/video games/etc. 🫶 The fight isn't over.

Thinking "Someone else will do it" is the assurance that no one else will do it, and everyone will lose. Keep up the calls, keep up the emails, keep up the pressure.

This page has a big button for you to email 20+ customer service departments at once with an (editable, if you like) prewritten letter. You can even do it from your phone! There's zero reason to not be participating in the pushback on this.

Call your House reps and senators. I don't care what shade of blue or red they are. Name KOSA, SCREEN, IODA, and state-level ID legislation in general and WARN. THEM. OFF.

its ok to call up your rep and just say "i want them to oppose [these bills]"

if you have the energy, sure, go for it. but if not? keep it simple. they tally it up all the same.

Keep pushing, we can't let up now! This isn't just about games, it's about censorship. And they WILL censor the SFW furry and LGBTQ+ spaces, we're already seeing examples. Now is not the time for complacency, nor smugness thinking your group will be spared and only the undesirables will go.
