personally if i schismed from a church communion i wouldn’t keep the old name that directly connects me to that communion; i’d change it to something cooler like, “THE ONE TRUE CHURCH” or “GODS FAVORITE COMMUNION” or something but thats just me 🤷‍♂️

Waimanalo homeless community program honored in World Habitat Day event Aunty Blanche McMillan of Hui Mahi’ai Aina, a homeless community program in Waimanalo, was recognized with a community builder award.

Honolulu observed World Habitat Day with a special symposium and community builder awards earlier this week.

Bibi looks grim and has his hands raised almost maniacally. The brim of Garcia's cap covers Bibi's upper lip area just so that it evokes Hitler's tiny mustache. Another plaque on the wall reads "Warning! Critical thinking is forbidden at all times."

An Israeli government-sponsored trip costs us not in dollars, but in principle. It's a cost paid in the devaluation of Aloha. It tells the world that in Hawaiʻi, our most cherished symbol can be weaponized to bless a genocide.

It is also worth noting that while Christians should probably not give in to feelings of *glee* about today, it is indeed ok for one’s sadness to be largely a matter of intellectual assent to the idea that any person’s death is bad. There is no need to manufacture actual feelings of sadness.

I once mentioned that I enjoyed Orthodox Chant to a fellow congregant and then had to explain for the next 10 minutes that I like it in a normal way and not in a “manosphere-hating women-racist-reclaim western civilization” type of way
