Album #330 - Get Ugly by Trophy Wife

Another band with strong 90s indie influences. I don't like this quite as much as the last couple albums despite shared qualities. This one leans more into shoegaze which is probably why. 6/10

Recommended by @ricrus77.bsky.social .. Nail on the head with this one. Classic 90s alt-rock sound, vulnerable vocals with robust 'wall of sound' backdrop. A bit like Siamese Dream. Euphoric and dreamy. Like it a lot. 9/10

Really like this, it's got a 90s indie/grunge sound but with heavy shoegaze (which is better than normal shoegaze) elements. Lots of fuzzy guitars and melodically magical moments. 8/10

The Mrs has always said she'd burn all of my CDs if I ever cheated on her (she knows my weak point!), but if i cheated on her with 6500 CDs, it represents a whole new dimension I'd not considered before this exchange 🤔😅

Ive been thinking about this. Adoption and divorce would give me room for at least 6,500 more CD spaces by my intricate calculations. Torn currently, I'll have to see how things pan out these next next few years. 😊
