It's funny reading internet reviews of Scritti Politti who seem to want to fully not engage with the text, lots of stuff about how they think it 'lacks sophistication'. Also funny how little is about how biblical some of their songs are.

Anyways how do you define scientific consensus if not purely socially, scientists don't keep a ledger of every truth and fiction, or half truth, or half fiction. The same for experts, really isn't it, even if you give over to the institution.

I don't really understand how scientists claim empiricism alongside some sort of purity of what science is. Even just materially they know that some research gets funding whilst other research doesn't; they complain about it a lot! Let alone any sort of epistemic failure.
