local website for gigs run by the council doesn't let you upload the flier as the image and requires some _other_ picture, obviously there's press images of artists etc. but why use this when in we should realise that flier / poster art is a key part of gig promotion historically and now.

People seem to have forgotten in recent times that for most of the internet's history this is how things were.

I wonder if the train sound at the end of Pet Sounds was the inspiration for the weird and messed up digital train sound at the end of A Letter from Home by Blue Gene Tyranny.

There doesn't seem to be anything online about it.

Google Gemini LLM Chat window:

I ask the question: " how many rs in strawberry "

Google Gemini replies: "There are three "r"s in the word "strawberry." Let's break it down: (citation link)

    strawberry (citation link)

The first "r" appears in the "str" at the beginning of the word. The second and third "r"s are together in the "rr" combination towards the end."

The 'sources' tab of the google gemini LLM chat window, with two sources cited talking about how LLMs can't count the number of letters in a word.

I'm glad that this LLM thing has two citations for 'how many rs in strawberry' both of which are about the question and how LLMs can't get it right.

this article reads as though the author really wants to convey his experience of being a public figure online but needs to do so through a historical figure that he can vaguely relate to

seems like there are only two methods that are supposed to be called (compress and decompress) weird that it's not vendored in typeshed ?

no one seems to have written type wrappers around the brotli library they provide wonder why (it's probably awful and terrible)
