Smaller lower body? I didn’t see anything about that. Is he a long torso short legged guy?

A GM can designate up to two players per year as June 1 cuts in advance, and allow them to test FA early March.

So he will get designated as a june 1 cut and test free agency if he and Howie can’t work something out.

Goedert agreed to move the date out on his deal ending so Howie can use June 1.

2026 NFL mock draft 2.0: What does the Eagles’ post-combine board look like? The NFL combine is officially over, and some team fits have began to materialize, including what the Eagles may end up doing with the 23rd pick. Here is our second first-round mock draft.

After spending the last week in Indianapolis, here is my post combine mock draft:

A-to the F’n-men

It’s not mysterious at all to me. They don’t change direction well. And that’s not easy to test in the underwear olympics. But on tape watching their college snaps, it was brutally obvious.

02.03.2026 21:04 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m pretty sure that only one of those three is fixable. And the other two is the front office’s fault. If you have final say on personnel, then you better know your stuff.

With a now 14y/o I see firsthand it is a tricky tight rope to walk. If they’re interested in getting better in a sport, We should give some knowledge, and they will appreciate it when they’re older. I’ve helped my son with basketball. But there’s so much I’m holding back to not be overbearing.

02.03.2026 20:55 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I’ve been lower on him than most from jump. I like him but can’t take him ahead of at least 5 guys….maybe more.

I wish he showed more as a blocker as an HBack/FB. He might have it in his bones and didn’t show it yet. Because it would be nice to have a FB w/those hands and ball skills in this O.

02.03.2026 20:13 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Hey I might be a tad too negative. No crystal ball here. He’s got some legit receiving talent and I don’t think he’s as useless as a blocker as most draft folk say he is.

02.03.2026 20:10 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

What I am learning is that it is easier to predict pass catching upside with weight loss than weight gain at the TE position. So I would not take a chance on him until day 3. But he very well could end up one of the best TEs in this draft.

02.03.2026 20:07 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

He struggled with that a little at the Senior Bowl.

If he can get better at handling being mauled by LBs and Safties and still making the catch, then he will be a steal in the draft.

Given his length, it’s easy to see that happening for him.

02.03.2026 20:05 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I agree with most of it. I wasn’t very high on his ability to block on the move. I’m going to watch more if I ever find the time, but my biggest concern with him is handling NFL level physicality when linebackers and safeties get semi-legal with him mid route.

I’ve seen some young OTs on the interwebs say it is a really hard habit to break and asking for advice.

Hinton prematurely opens up his hips as he meets the rusher on the arc. He did it constantly in college, but got away with it due to his size. I was hoping it would improve during training camp, but apparently it did not. And that’s weird considering his dad’s background.

02.03.2026 19:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Before I fired up the all-22 I thought it was gonna be the other way around also.

I already knew what one of Hintonβ€˜s tragic flaws was when he was drafted. I was hoping to see it improved throughout preseason and it did not.

It’s mostly mental/bad habit

Kendall played well vs Wash late in year twice. He looked a little worse the first time, but in hindsight a lot of that was one on one reps vs their only good defensive tackle.

02.03.2026 18:22 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Two days ago, I re-watched the preseason snaps for Williams and Hinton in pass protection. Hinton has more upside as an actual offensive tackle, but Williams was closer to being playable. If we are talking starting caliber player, I have a little more hopes for Williams at guard than tackle.

That year they had the insane D with Bud Carson. Man if Jim could just glue that elbow together they might have done something.

02.03.2026 14:00 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It’s so hard to the kind of QB you think you might win a Bowl with. I’m very hesitant to give that luxury away for the reason you give.

Tanner
Hurts
Jim McMahon (if his damn elbow would stay attached)
Foles

That’s the only QBs in the 40+ yrs I’ve watched that made me feel confident.

02.03.2026 13:48 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

If it’s truly the Jets 2nd we get and it’s for this year’s draft, then I can understand moving him.

I still prob wouldn’t because giving away good QBs in this league is often unwise. But I would understand if they did that move.

02.03.2026 13:41 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t know. I’d rather keep him for now and get a comp pick if he leaves.

But if I am thinking purely for his well being….Vikings are a good fit. They would like him there and probably extend him. Nice WR room. And he is a gunslinger.

02.03.2026 04:10 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So much better. The Stormin’ Mormin’ deserves a better fate.

The College numbers in this thread were bad because he was in an atrocious O with no pass pro.

My biggest concern w/him is if he can stay healthy for a whole season of NFL punishment.

02.03.2026 01:32 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah my guess is no later than 5th. But I would have a tough time passing on him in the 4th.

He will get put on his keister occasionally. But he was one of the few receiving tight ends in this class who his team would actually run behind frequently as a Y.

He and Proctor worked ok together

02.03.2026 00:02 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I liked Slaughter’s pass pro and smarts. Wasn’t sure his run blocking would translate to NFL.

My guess is they see if Kendall and/or Lampkin can develop before they draft another C only prospect. Also drafting Slaughter w/Cam still in building may be a bit uncomfortable.

As far as helping the evaluation, I would not be surprised if Stout does still help Howie with it a little for this draft. Not predicting it but half expect it.

The developing part……little scary without Stout. Hopefully the new fella can do it.

Developing is what they may miss more than the Eval.

01.03.2026 16:43 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m very interested in seeing if Hinton fixes his bad habits. I would have liked to see him with Stout another year. It’s in Hinton’s bones to be solid to good starter if he wants it bad enough.
