I literally saw them perform this song (and other ones) 2½ weeks ago! It was amazing!

HCW by day, metalhead by night. Also loves classical music, art, weights, sf/f/h, cats. Jewish (quite lapsed), left, bi. I've set up shop here, now that Twitter has turned to shit. He/him. Llevo casi tres años aprendiendo español.

I had entire CDs filled with .swf files of Happy Tree Friends, Camp Chaos, Foamy the Sciurine Pizza Cutter, and sooooo many games. And then Adobe decided, nah, fuck it, none of that needs to work anymore.
(There are plugins to take its place, but Adobe still sucks.)
This has been out since October last year, and I'm just now learning of it?
(Merci mille fois, @botteur.be .)
Every now and then, I remember that this cartoon existed.
And then I laugh my ass off, and fear for my quality of afterlife.
(NSFW: contains cartoon gore. LOTS of cartoon gore.)
I have this one!
(I think it was you first recommended them.)
I could be listening to this right now!
I think that Blood Incantation is really good, it's just like spicy food with lots of cilantro... and a few people (including you and me) have that gene that makes cilantro taste like dish soap and weeds.
I keep BI in the same folder as ELP. I'll try again in a year, maybe it'll click then.
I really wanted to like Blood Incantation. And in fact, I should have. But I just bounced off it.

I'm very fond so far!
(But I have a soft spot for weird shit. And this definitely is. It's good. And also weird.)
Are you looking for music that will make you scratch your head before kicking it in?

Looking for names, so that I can block them if they show up here.
Larry Correia? Still not here, AFAIK.
Jon Del Arroz? Nope.
Paul Elam? Nada.
Vox Day? I don't think he's here, but searching his name turns up an avalanche of Hazbin Hotel fan art, so don't quote me.
A screenshot of the two previous posts in this thread. The top post is a quote repost of a Rolling Stone article that should never have been written. never mind made it past editorial. The second post is a screenshot (complete with alt text) of said article.
Well. THAT didn't take long.

In October, I'll be seeing Rush. With a female friend. And their new drummer will no doubt be subjected to lots of harsh judgments that she could have avoided by, just, you know, having a penis.
I'm sure she's more than up to the task, and I hope she's having a great day.
A friend I've known since high school got me into Rush.
Sadly, we aren't speaking. He decided a few years ago that people like Paul Elam and Vox Day were decent human beings... and no doubt all his new friends think I'm a filthy degenerate leftist s-jew faggot cuck cuck cuck cuck cuck.
Oh? Are you a conservative? Do you take offense, because you've never sucked Trump's tiny diseased cock yourself?
Fair.
But? I lived through the eighties. I watched you all suck Reagan's tiny diseased cock. I watched you all canonize him after he died. You all have a LOT to make up for.
Dear certain "respectable" right-wing collectives like @thebulwark.com and @lincolnproject.us...
Thank you ever so much for concluding, perhaps years too late, that sucking Trump's tiny diseased cock was maybe not such a great idea.
He's in power now. Do something useful!
Certain elitist assholes might be... "concerned" that your first exposure to Wagner was Elmer Fudd singing "kill da wabbit, kill da wabbit, kill da wabbit!"
I can't be arsed.
I don't give a fuck how you got here.
I'm just happy you're here. Please, take a comfy seat! And a drink, if you like.
Don't get me wrong. I'm very much in favor of higher education, and I wish we all had much easier access to it. But the world outside teaches us, and I hope you all see it, and I hope you're all greedy as hell, because all those centuries of culture and wisdom belong to ALL OF US.
27.02.2026 19:42 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Similarly, you may not know the technical term "maillard reaction"... but if you've ever scorched the cheesy ends of a grilled cheese sandwich? Or caramelized onions? Or grilled or smoked a big hunk of meat with extra bark? You know that shit, you just don't have the "right" words.

Lots of people, including many of you, know things. Even if you don't know them.
For instance, opera. You may think you don't know shit about opera... but if I whistle the first few bars of Un Bel Di Vedremo, or the last several bars of Nessun Dorma? I promise. You know that shit.
Don't mind me. I learned a bit of food science from a cartoon octopus on the internet, and a bit from Alton Brown back when he was genuinely amazing. And then my education went a bit sideways...!
27.02.2026 19:16 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Granted, not all maillard reactions are good. Roasted garlic is amazing, but you have to know when to stop, because overcooked garlic is kinda terrible. And if you do barbecue, you learn very quickly that mustard can be really good, but mustard plus grill marks equals culinary felony.

I'm sure you already know the term "maillard reaction," and if you don't? You still do, even if you don't. You might just not know there's a technical term for it.
The crusty bits on a medium-rare steak? The hard outer shell on a fluffy baguette? The cheese that touched the grill?
Years ago, I was a member of internet fora like Fandom Wank, because discussions like this were low stakes, needlessly vitriolic, and joyous as hell.
I would never go back, because that shit is toxic as hell, but at the time, it was So! MUCH! FUN!
...and can I just say, this thread turned hella demented in all the best ways? Sparks are flying all over the place, and I no longer care which sparks are correct and which ones aren't!
Screw team cold¹. Screw team hot². I'm now on team sparky!
-----
1,2. I'm kidding, I love you all!
Never mind, screw science, @atrvekvltdad.bsky.social just mentioned toaster strudel, and if I'm going to endanger my boyish figure¹ and my six-pack², it'll be for that, not pop-tarts.
-----
1. "Boyish"? I'm almost 52.
2. I have a four-pack. It'd be six, if not for sour patch kids.
I always reheat pizza, because I'm not a barbarian.
Usually in the microwave, because it's quick. I saw a couple of guys on YouTube reheat pizza in a covered pan with a little steam, and they swear it works better. Must try that one of these days...
What can I say? As a kid, I lived with parents who tried to have us all live and eat cheaply.
As a young man, I was doing drugs and only sometimes remembering to eat.
As an older man, I eat red meat and veggies, and might look at a pop-tart... only to think, "nah, I like having abs."
This is me with pizza the day after.
(Having never had a pop-tart, I proposed a bit of !!!SCIENCE!!! elsewhere in this thread, and hinted that there might be correlation between people who like heated pop-tarts and people who reheat leftover pizza.)
