Yeah, it's a wild ride and we'll see where all of this leads ... Just came across this NYT podcast episode talking about Claude Code, increasing AI capabilities and the nebulous future that lays ahead. Not a hype piece - worth a listen ...

Also, one thing is for sure: AI is here to stay and there are enough people figuring out how to use it. And a lot of that will happen in the workplace. Privately, you can choose to ignore it; professionally, you won't be able to do so.

Agreed - if used blindly and without review AI-written texts are unbearable ... But that doesn't mean that it can't be a significant productivity booster. That's my whole point - don't trust AI blindly, but don't throw out the baby with the bathwater ...

I find myself using AI nearly daily - nothing earth-shattering, just a great tool for being more productive, learning faster. And of course there are a TON of things we need to worry about wrt AI - but just saying "shut it all down" is short-sighted (apart from impossible at this point) IMHO

I won't claim that I can give a complete overview of AI capabilities, but from my own personal experience: 1) comprehensive and deep web research much more efficient than any search engine; 2) producing professional texts based on your guidance; 3) coding based on human guidance.
