One of them is a relative of mine and I can't for the life of me understand why.
12.11.2025 19:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Totally agree.
11.11.2025 21:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I normally don't like this sort of thing but this one I understood.
11.11.2025 20:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You make a powerful argument. I am of two minds. I agree a majority would get more done, more good or more bad is the problem. A one percent change could produce a fruit basket turnover every couple of years. I don't know what I want. We could try it.
11.11.2025 20:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Unconvenced. The Democrats caved. We lost.
11.11.2025 15:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not the only time that's happened by a long shot.
11.11.2025 00:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I did computer work from home using dial-up modem. There wasn't any internet involved, just remote login over phone lines.
10.11.2025 19:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Me too. I programmed with punch cards for a theses. Wrote the text on a computer in WordStar and printed it conforming to the typewriter rules at the time on a Diablo daisy wheel printer. So when I turned it in, it was "typewritten." This was 1971.
10.11.2025 19:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well said. I am the same.
10.11.2025 19:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Right about social class and access.
10.11.2025 19:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If all the submissions were images, wouldn't you have that?
10.11.2025 19:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Typewriters don't make exact copies and don't store data. It's one of their nicer features.
10.11.2025 19:26 β π 3 π 3 π¬ 1 π 1I love mine. Distraction free, runs forever on three AA batteries, light and almost indestructible. Was designed for elementary school kids. No internet connection.
10.11.2025 19:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You might look into AlphaSmart and the Neo and Neo2. You get the function of a typewriter and the ability to dump everything you type into any computer. Nothing proprietary, the computer thinks the Neo is a keyboard and acts accordingly. Uses a USB cable normal for printers, old technology.
10.11.2025 19:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Impartiality implies that there is no right and wrong, that both should have equal support. This isn't reality.
10.11.2025 17:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No, they don't. They believe only in winning, personally and as a party.
10.11.2025 17:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Government support promotes government bias. Advertising support promotes advertising bias. Hard to imagine unbiased support. Takes tough minded people in the end.
10.11.2025 17:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No contract, no coffee.
10.11.2025 17:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Absolutely true and absolutely necessary for capitalism to exist .
08.11.2025 15:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Capitalism depends on charity to do what government should do.
08.11.2025 15:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, he is. It isn't just a perjorative.
07.11.2025 20:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Nazis in Germany weren't that bright either.
07.11.2025 13:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Winning is all that's important to a political party. They don't have any social or cultural positions, unless it will help them win .
07.11.2025 13:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not just literacy, all forms of education. Education produces thoughtful people, who make better choices generally.
06.11.2025 13:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Racism, like a lot of things, is based on fear.
06.11.2025 13:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's just about the situation. Well said.
06.11.2025 13:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What we need is a new Democratic party.
06.11.2025 13:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I always cheer when the election goes against the money. In the final analysis everybody, no matter how rich, gets one vote. It's a good system. Let's keep it.
06.11.2025 13:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good on them! No more coffee without a contract. Get your coffee somewhere else.
06.11.2025 13:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What a good idea!
