It's supposed to be one of the CIWS autocannons mounted on an enemy carrier spaceship that the protags in their fighters have to neutralize.

Fully articulated with a spinning minigun made possible with a little motor from a broken printer.

yeah, I love giving my ships and stuff a heavily complex industrial look.

Painting...

building the model out of random items like a mouthwash container and medication bottles (a build method called trashbashing), and wiring working LED lights into it.

Adding greebles (small surface details) to the ship model, mostly wires and circuit board parts, to give it a cyberpunkish industrial mechanical look. Rear view.

Ship model is done being built and now has a coat of gray automotive primer, ready to be given the final painted and weathered look.

Reposting this cause I'm proud of how this model turned out...

It's just supposed to be a random ship you see for like two seconds, flying in the background of a scene, but I ended up putting way more effort into it than I originally intended lol.

And yes it has working lights.

Yeah, I try not to be judgy about it with others since I know not everyone's like that... but still, it's hard when those were my only experiences living with it.
