I've with a label now & it's been night & day. I still do some stuff with Symphonic & while they've also provided a ton of headaches they at least answer their support tickets (and the % is the same). I'd be also be curious to hear experiences from people using DiGiDi, which is a co-op distro.

Soundrop increasing their rates for distribution by 500% is so, so funny/confusing/wild. Support is quite literally nonexistent. I have no idea what you're paying for. Like does the parent company just want them gone? This seems like a "we're actively trying to bankrupt ourselves" move.

Why this is important in games: devs want as many rights as possible. Rights to AI sounds are legally unenforceable.

People can't steal exclusively-licensed library derivative sounds, even if you can't sell those rights--*someone* owns them. You cannot sell a license to an asset that has no owner.

It was only a matter of time.

Or if not in contravention, just wrong. Like they can tell you you own it, but you don't. If someone steals your thing, you'd probably lose in court.

New Waves (big shock lol) plugin "illugen" makes sounds from text prompts.

They claim you own your output. Not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure this is in contravention of the US Copyright Act.

lettuce, spinach & kale all very strong. Blueberries starting to look like blueberries! Lost a few tomato plants because I put them out too early, as well as all the squash. Potatoes are crushin'. Our one baby fig fell off during repotting, RIP lil fig.

Some serious top talent amongst the attendees. Every piece they came up with in the 6 hours we could have easily gone straight into a game. I love teaching beginners too, but it was pretty magical working with film & music industry vets who didn't need any help with the fundamentals.
