That would've made sense, but I think the writers like using it as a easy plot device to catch us up on stuff when they feel we need to be. :/ Too much like right to let us tap into it when we want to.

Had a thought that would be interesting - what if Hydaelyn was shielding the WoL from the full force of the Echo? And with her gone, it's now become debilitating to them?

It'll never happen, but the thought is interesting to me. ^^
