Exakt samma tanke slog mig. Tror att båda begreppen som mäts har förändrats. Rapporten noterar också att själva språkbruket i frågorna förändrats sen 2013. Då inkluderas inte transpersoner, och inte minst när frågan som ställs handlar om vad som är "naturligt" tror jag det starkt påverkar svaret.

Skulle säga att det är 100% självförvållat och handlar om några dussin byråkraters (inkl fackliga) makt och prioritering av att hellre förlora som blek höger än vinna som lite vänster.

Det mest sjuka är att de aktivt och helt öppet genom häxprocesser inför öppen ridå försökt göra sig med flera hundra tusen av sina medlemmar (och lyckats med det) för att de var en "belastning" i valkampanjandet och nu i princip inte har råd att kampanja i val på de sätt de planerat att göra.

Browns argument har länge varit att nyliberalism är väsensskild från traditionell liberalism och smulat sönder dess fundament (se Browns Undoing the demos) vilket öppnat för postliberalism (politisk som är kritisk till och vill gå bortom-), att högern byggt ett sådant projekt och det tar makt nu.

Det är absolut ett högerbegrepp, som kommer från ffa Patrick Deneen, Adrian Vermule osv men även tagits upp av (den mkt lilla) kretsen kring Blue Labor i Storbritannien. Föreläsningen i sig var inte en kritik av liberalism, snarare en närläsning av högerns postliberalism och en teser om vad det innebär för vänstern utifrån en redan etablerad kritik av specifika aspekter av liberalismen. Utvecklar gärna i mer detalj, men ingen har nappat på mina essäpitchar ännu :-/

First time visiting the Hägerstensåsens Medborgahus/People's House today. It was packed to the brim by people who all had come to hear Wendy Brown lecture on post-liberalism from the left. Very interesting argument that will take some time to fully process, and great to catch up with old friends.

The general advice we often give is to focus on a research plan that makes an original contribution to a clearly defined debate in human geography, and I would think skills mostly matters in terms of being able to make the contribution one presents within the research plan.
