Instead, I’m being consumed by a dramatic au where an unwanted pregnancy challenges the relationship dynamic between two of my most beloved RP characters.

I went back to work today but I stocked up on some new and well loved reads over the weekend.

Alright fellow peeps. I return to the office next week. (I’ve been working from home for 3 weeks while I recover from surgery.) Any advice on returning to an office that heavily supports the current regime? I work with a lot of Dump supporters and I’m nervous. 🫠

Sometimes I miss library work. My TBR sure doesn’t miss it, but I do.

I started with Thirteen Reasons Why, because it’s a book that resonated with me when it was originally published (and when I was an angsty teen going through life). And I really want to analyze how it was really challenged after the premiere of the Netflix show almost 20 years later.

(I was also very very busy today and even now when I should be resting, I have things to do!)

I have a journal that I started to use, but put it off. The American Library Association put out a copy and I think it could be a fun start for a book club!

Wanting to read nonfiction to make sense of the world but wanting to escape in fiction but wanting to stay educated but wanting to read to recommend. The cycle sucks.

If you like short story collections, add Vampires in the Lemon Grove by Karen Russell to your collection! I give the book as a whole 4 ⭐️s, I definitely loved some of the stories more than others.
