Vertical Peanuts 8-panel
Clipping found in The Buffalo News published in Buffalo, New York on 8/31/1954. Vertical Peanuts 8-panel
One of the selling points of early Peanuts was that the four panels were all the same size, so it could be stacked vertically.
The one time Schulz did an 8-panel strip, this caused an interesting layout. (Hat tip to DD Degg of @dailycartoonist.bsky.social !)

The Red Cross is offering blood donors a blind bag with one of four Snoopy t-shirts in it. (There are no "rares", however, except, I suppose, for the blood type.)

July 26, 1953 installment of the comic strip Homer Hoopee. Panel 1, Homer is walking in a grey suit, thinking "Why do I feel so conspicuous? Nobody knows I'm wearing a new suit." Panel 2: A man in a dark suit pass Homer. Homer shouts at him "Charlie Brown!!!" Panel three. Homer says "Remember me? We met at the men's club meeting --" to which Charlie responds "Oh, sure! I remember you!" Panel four: Homer looks shocked when Charlie concludes "I never forget a suit!"
My favorite comics character is Charlie Brown.
