If my followers have been inspired by the fierce resistance the Twin Cities has put up to ICE, you should make it a point to take a trip here (April through October 😬), enjoy the wonderful things MN has to offer and support our small businesses. It continues to be a really tough time for them.

Two years of peaceful protests with the police standing by and watching, friendly. Now this. I’ve seen a few videos of ugly police violence from yesterday and I’m genuinely shocked. What changed in the policing approach and why? We need answers, and hold these officers and their masters to account.

At least three police that should be sacked and charged with assault. A disgrace. #auspol

the police presence at Town Hall is unfuckingbelievable. They are deep inside the station, stopping and searching people at the top of the stairs from the platform. Absolutely off the charts I have never seen anything like it and I have protested for over 40 years.

Not new or original - but it’s truly nuts that skin checks are so expensive given the rates of skin cancer in this country.

Dear President Herzog, To β€˜reverse the brainwash’ (a Murdoch headline re your visit) please ask Netanyahu to allow full access to Gaza/West Bank for all journalists. Please explain the almost total destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, housing, hospitals, schools + 70,000 β€˜collaterally’ killed.

Questions about Randa Abdel-Fattah inclusion in NSW writers festival The NSW government makes contact with the board of next month's Newcastle Writers Festival about the inclusion of Palestinian author Randa Abdel-Fattah, the ABC understands.

Is every single writers festival in Australia going to choose to voluntarily self-destruct because the alternative of letting a Palestinian speak is just too unfathomably unthinkable

Clearly it’s time to appoint a permanent officer in the government to look over all the festival programs. Some fellow in a centralised office where all the art can be submitted beforehand, to make sure it’s socially cohesive. Some kind of Chief Approver, if you like www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02...

Australian Independent Media Guide Influential mass media corporations that dominated prior to the internet are losing their audience. Australians are looking for new places to get their news.

It’s clear Labor cares more about investors with dozens of properties than it does about renters, first home buyers and homeless people. It’s hard enough right now to get ahead, you shouldn’t be doing it harder. It shouldn't be on you.

The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

Getting off US tech: a guide I’m in the process of dropping US tech services. Here’s how I did it, and options you should consider.

Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!

The Invasion Day rally in Boorloo/Perth was targeted and attacked with an explosive device.

The silence from the right has been deafening.

The same politicians who have spent the last month politicising violence are now nowhere to be found.

Parents in Tehran find their missing son alive in a body bag at the morgue. He played dead in the bag for 3 days so he wouldn't be discovered & finished off.

Doctors in Iran say 16,500 have been killed, & 330,000 wounded.

As an experimental crop idea in the early 1900's, California Redwood trees were planted near Beech's Forest, in the Otways forests. To walk among these giants of nature is akin to something spiritual. Their shade, sounds, and immense presence are somehow at home in the Australian climate, and the local bird life thrive among them.

This younger boy hasn't fully grown his plumage, with some dull green where in a year or two he'll be bright red. His chest is puffed out looking rather happy with himself having found a couple of friendly humans who have seed to share

A giant stringybark towers towards the crystal blue sky above, strands of bark hanging from its central fork. I'd suggest you'd need four or five humans with outstretched hands to circle the trunk of this beauty. There are literally hundreds of thousands of these trees throughout the Otways Ranges, which in Jan 2026 is suffering significant fires

I'm biased because it's my favourite part of the world full of happy memories, but what's unfolding with fire in #Otways #OtwayForest is so, so sad

High 40Β° temps expected tomorrow

There is ancient, temperate rainforest, filled with trees centuries old. Beautiful towns, people & creatures
