Yes on both counts!!
29.06.2025 22:13 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS CASEY KASEM. Hearing him again on the podcast, it seemed obvious. Paramount+ always interrupts my credits with [Keep Watching Credits?] and by the time I say yes, the actor credits are gone. Thank gods we have your great podcast to track this stuff!
28.06.2025 21:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@kikiwrites.bsky.social @rustingwillpower.bsky.social My life is upside down but rest assured Book em Danno and Here Watch This kept me sane driving cross country. My brain is too oatmealy for specifics, but you are both so appreciated. (Somewhere btwn Champaign & Peoria I yelled, hope you heard)
14.06.2025 01:29 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Far out! When I was 9 or 10 I saw a movie called Go For It! (1976) & it was literally 1 1/2 hours of surfing & skateboarding (incl. some memorable nude surfing I was prob too young to see). Def no plot required. Their movie might have found its audience!
02.05.2025 21:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0While Iβm blathering, itβs interesting to me that they didnβt address the biggest flaw in their 8-track plan. 8-tracks always had visible tape on the playable end, but in removing the tape, their counterfeits would conspicuously be missing the tape.
08.04.2025 19:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The tape had four stereo tracks (totaling 8) so the album was separated into 4 playable tracks. When you reached the βendβ of the tape loop, it automatically advanced to the next track. Itβs a more interesting and complicated technology than cassettes but less user-friendly.
08.04.2025 19:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I had 8 tracks! You may have already gotten the answer, but they had FF and jump track features but no rewind. The reason is that the tape was all on one big reel and went in a continuous loop, so it could only go in one direction. I took one apart (of course).
08.04.2025 19:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I especially enjoyed this BED episode, as I especially these H50 eps, for similar reasons to yours. I especially appreciated your reference to Wolfman Jack! And speaking of stuff kids just donβt understandβ¦
08.04.2025 19:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Loved your episode. I was way more confused than expected by the lottery story. But I like the abuse. I do think the writer was enjoying all the clippy jokey dialogue more than usual.
12.03.2025 23:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The 2011 TV Pilot! In our first ever crossover episode, The Reel Guys take over (Stan the Man and Jackie O) along with their guest Katie, with a video podcast recorded live, to break down the 2011 Wonder Woman pilot created by David E Kelly and starring Adrianne Palicki!

@kikiwrites.bsky.social @rustingwillpower.bsky.social Stellar. Christin describes the Bones ep so well, I may just have to watch it. And Shann has Jack Sooβs deadpan delivery down cold. I may have teared up at least twice. Letβs go shoot some clams!
04.02.2025 23:28 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Another fine podcast. And such a timely episode! Given where the economyβs headed, I could use the counterfeiting lesson.
03.02.2025 19:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I just finished "American Primeval" on Netflix. tragically, violently beautiful. There's one sequence in particular toward the end that's so full of metaphor and wordless commentary, my head exploded (an appropriate response). This is the kind of stuff my scruffy self would love to be cast in.
24.01.2025 17:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are so many people being wrong on the internet today, itβs hard to focus.
22.01.2025 19:52 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My word, I thought Howard Sprague and wife in matching patterns was awesome, then THAT PIMPIN CAST. Super cool, and the fashion absolutely lived up to your hype. Great episodes, great podcast, and happy holidays on the real, you dig!?
24.12.2024 00:41 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs aMAZING, and actually kind of moving the way they stuck so faithfully to the original story. Both episodes were fantastic.
12.10.2024 23:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Definitely worth the wait- I especially enjoyed the reboot and your observations about Steve and Dannoβs bromantic sniping. Also, ROBOCOP IS HOOKMAN.
12.10.2024 22:55 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was prepared and watched Hookman before the hurricane, ready to dive in but now there's reboot homework! Streaming/internet just returned but no power yet, generator running low. AAhh! So much to say already. A friend used read to me from JJ Arms' pulp novels back in the 90s. JJ ARMS!!!!!!!!!
01.10.2024 14:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you so much! Ellie Wood Walker is supercool, and Iβm psyched about my line up next season :-D
18.08.2024 03:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Fantastic! I loved these two episodes, and your review was terrific as usual. You didn't comment on it, probably due to spoilers, but the last moments with the kidnapper were EXTRA creepy. And hey, thanks for the shout out!!
07.08.2024 19:02 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I LOVED Engaged (as well as Percentage) but only because I was trying to track how much they were blatantly going to lift from Bromeo & Juliet. Star crossed indeed - but was pretty Pam the Nurse or Mercutio?? At least (spoiler alert) Juliet didn't get the fate I was afraid she would!
03.08.2024 21:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm so behind. I did watch these 5-0 episodes, but in the evening after my beers. An entirely new, hard-to-track experience. I may re-watch them in the morning so I can absorb what the heck is going on before I enjoy the podcast.
09.07.2024 19:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0O god, Iβm so behind because of my show (sitting in rehearsal rn) but I gotta read this - I know Fudge as Jesus on MASH - I canβt imagine him as a villain!
24.05.2024 02:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do love backdoor pilots - there was a good one on Star Trek that never went anywhere. I can't remember if Fish had one on Barney Miller. MASH oddly never had one, unless you count the Ron Howard episode being a secret storyline where Ritchie C enlists, doesn't tell anyone, then sneaks back.
12.04.2024 14:30 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@kikiwrites.bsky.social I'm certain 'Here Watch This' has more than one listener! I myself often feel like at least two people. I do enjoy how your descriptions are so good I feel like I've seen the episode. I'm still thinking about the 21 Jump Street you described, and I've never watched the show.
12.04.2024 14:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I absolutely loved your podcast on these episodes, but I have nothing clever or subversive to say. I didn't mind your microphone at all, in fact your levels seemed brighter than usual. Also, I didn't like the psychiatrist either - I didn't trust that moustache.
03.04.2024 15:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm long overdue in telling you how much I loved this podcast episode. I was constantly laughing at/with you both throughout my commute, which frankly put my life in danger.
06.03.2024 14:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0OMG Iβm so psyched to hear this. IβVE BEEN WAITING. I *loved* these episodes. I know, I get to listen early, but I like to wait to listen with everybody- donβt ask me why, Iβm just a socialist that way. Woo hoo!! β€οΈ
24.02.2024 00:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@kikiwrites.bsky.social I not only enjoyed the Bromance episode of HWT, but Iβm excited to learn that youβll be making your spaghetti recipe available.
