For what it's worth, the current bug affecting Golden PokeStops is purely visual - they'll still drop coins even if they appear blue once you get near them.

Is it just me, or is this the first time they're even openly saying it's limited? I certainly never saw confirmation before the in game pop up, despite lots of speculation and people asking about it.
