Anyone else use the Ctrl+f function to find words they often overuse... Then ruthlessly remove them, even when it doesn't make sense to? 😆

What are your words? Mine are just, quite, and bit.

I knew I was challenging my overly-descriptive self when I entered a short story competition with a hard word limit... I just didn't realize how much! There's stepping out of my box... Then there's standing in the corpse of half my original word count and left wondering: is this even good?

😥 When your first draft was 4,705 words but your submission cap is 2,500.

Editing all day got me like 😵‍💫

Have to chop out those darlings! (But knowing the story will be better for it.)

Goal: 2,500 word short story.

I allotted 500 words for the introduction/set-up. Then I accidentally stayed up writing. So far that portion alone is at 1,858.

Editing this is going to be a nightmare. 😂

I feel like I'm drowning in stress and sorrow. I need more cute cats.
