colour advice is hard as it’s a bit of intuition but if you’re struggling getting it right colour picking is always an option
i sometimes get official art, do colour adjustment over top to my liking (hsb, selective colour etc) and use that to select from

guh thank you for thinking so 🙏 i used the kyle t webster watercolour brushes for photoshop to be able to get textures and all right and just dialled it back with a blend brush if it a bit much. Start with a larger size and applied lightly then you can reduce size
