I feel that; I think my ability to observe outpaced my ability to draw, so I’m extremely critical of what I’ve been making. My husband keeps reminding me that I haven’t been doing this very long and that I need to be patient, but it’s tough sometimes 😅 Is it too much to ask to be great right away?

Seriously, the art book is incredible. I love the commentary and insights; and the choose-your-own adventure style of the layout! I’ll definitely be obnoxiously promoting Slay the Princess (and Scarlet Hollow) for years to come.

I miss playing Nightreign. Revenant wasn’t the best, but she was so funny in combat.

Tried something new, using only the gauche brush and forgoing linework. Looks a little washed out, but it was fun!

My first time using the Ohuhu colored pencils didn’t quite go the way I hoped. The texture is nice, but didn’t really jive with the look.
