Sorry you reached the limits of what you could engage with. And your right, one of us is working on behalf of a community. I think it's responsible fir people manage their own online experiences and only engage with what they enjoy, GOAD will withstand some people disagreeing with what happened

Like, what Ice Skating? In Crime? Ineffably? Wedded bliss? I've already stated I know the mods, their lovely people who work hard and really do go all in to play fair. I'm not sure what your gunning for here but this particular tactic isn't going to work as an ad hominem

Yes, the fact that behaviour impacts a procedure for managing public conduct wrapped in a few words is not a judgement on the behaviour itself

In fact the entire extent of what you feel is the mods defending the OP is one single mod comment that reminds people to be civil. Can you help me understand how you see it better, I'm a little bit confused?

The post was up for about 8hrs. I'm not sure about timezones and when Z posted Vs the American time zones of an USA mod team of three people who work and have IRL commitment can get together to figure out what went on but that's not unreasonable enough to doubt all possible good faith scenarios

Also, the big 'rush of deletions' appears to be one comment. Anyone can see this by looking it up on sites like Reveddit.com

The thing is triage here. People, when hurt and scared are terrible at aiming. Their brains scream NOT SAFE. Restoring safety is the priority for anyone feeling like that, not carefully filtering every comment for tone and content, so let's consider for a moment...

I think it's been established that things posted on internet messages boards have very real consequences for people irl. What I'm asking you to do is consider the possibility that the mods, caught off guard, were paying more attention to the metaphorical chairs in this scenario

Yeah, that's a good point. As a seasoned community worker I might offer a little caution on the level of info you do divulge, but no one will fault people wanting an explanation. But what else do you need to do before that?

You're not a no one Ox, I know your name on sight from the fics. Your someone who obviously cares about people deeply and feel angry about what seems to have happened if it hurt them. I think it gives you a fair stake here

... In one place. Some of those would be interpersonal spats, some of those would be bullying and ostracizng behaviours. We'd ban people when it was warranted. On occasions, someone who has been banned for behaviour that really upset others would come waltzing back in...

Ah, community centres, now your speaking my language. I have actually spent nigh on two decades working in these places and can relate to this. In fact, we dealt with this exact scenario quite often. So first, people would absolutely hurt others. This happens when there are a large amount of people.

It's a fair point I do waffle so - to translate, mod points would be positive regard, in this case from a scenario where they yeet whomever seems unpopular just so they can look good. A kind of virtue signalling I suppose. This would be surface level engagement. While in this case it might (cont..>)

I can't speak for others on the use of drama, but I did call it expressing a genuine emotion
