Disclosure---I previously posted w/ phrase "art is sexy AF." After considering----realized my perception of BRILLIANTLY disturbing horror art may not be considered traditionally pretty for this platform.

A lot of games sell very well when they come out---& then no one plays them. Its not a terribly useful metric, & financial stats are easy to manipulate/present as desired. You must be wary/suspect of source

I'd argue popularity is better gauged by how many people are actively playing over time

Not really the spirit of what were talking about here, there is a lot more to determining 'popular' than literal sales data.

But yes---you have indeed stated a fact.

There is so much to love about 4E, it is a beautifully designed game!
I firmly believe it would have been a popular RPG if it had labeled anything other than D&D.
