I have a girl in my class this year who is OBSESSED with the Untamed, and I am not equipped for this, friends, HELP.

I am in Edinburgh, in an uber, and the song ended in the radio and Nick Grimshaw was doing the link, and I was caught so off guard hearing his voice that I almost teared up.

The grade level of a classroom Elf on the Shelf keeps rising each year, and I’m irrationally annoyed, because I don’t even have time to teach my grade 7/8s all of their outcomes let alone plan and set up a magic elf everyday, but it’s making me feel like a terrible grinch. It’s reached grade 5 now!

Ok I gotta say, he was FUN and GOOD. Can still sing!

Allie got us free tickets to Sebastian Bach tonight, so I’m obviously pretending I’m going to see the Hep Alien tour and using it as an excuse to go out for dinner with the girls. Girls night with Gill!

Everyone is still here, right? This is the new place to be?

If there’s one thing the Good Wife had, it was great characters. Eli Gold. Colin Sweeney. Elsbeth Tascioni. Louis Canning. Great writing, great acting.

This is a universal problem, I feel.

The problem is, I need entertainment that I only need to partly pay attention to.

I have so many shows I’m not caught up on, including IWTV and the new Rings of Power, which are my favourites… so obviously I have to restart the Good Wife from the beginning.

Has anyone read this yet, because it sounds amazing. “For fans of Our Flag Means Death…”

THINGS:

1. I’m a teacher at the end of May, so we know how that goes 🙃

2. I got an ARC of the new KJ Charles. 😍

3. I’m going to see Niall in a few weeks!

I’m beginning to suspect that this is all every one of us ever does and that nobody is ever comfortable. 😂 What a scam, life.

And I live like a twenty year old student again until next payday because I pretended for a day or two like I was an adult who could afford these luxuries.

The weekend after payday I always do these dumb things that make me feel like a grownup, like bring a $40 bottle of wine to a housewarming party, buy a very fluffy new duvet, and buy three new slightly upscale tees that I know will go with all my outfits… and then I’m broke again for two weeks.

That tutoring episode in season one was RIGHT THERE, and you’re gonna tell me Tim Riggins/Landry only gives me twelve hits on AO3?

Watching A Knight’s Tale with my dad. Truly a classic Christmas.

Also, are we all here now? Rather than at the other place?

I have read so many great books lately, but Demon Copperhead, KJ Charles’ newest, A Nobelman’s Guide To Seducing a Scoundrel, and Yellowface are top of the list.
