I think it’s super important to do art for yourself. But also don’t deny those feelings you get when you share it and don’t get a response. It’s okay for it to disappoint you that no one else dug it but you. Keep making what you like.

Every time I read The Great Gatsby, the final paragraph brings me to tears. Breathtakingly powerful writing:
