I spend hours of my life fact-checking fairly vanilla personal finance stories, fully aware AI will replace me in the not-too-distant future. It is a much bigger shock to me that big ol' non-fiction books are going unchecked. Does AI doing some checking sound like such a bad thing versus none?

This is not a drill. I'm going to be on BBC Radio 1 life hacks just after 4pm today talking ticketing scams. A topic I have been going deep on for more than a decade.
Plus stay tuned afterwards for the irrepressible @martynjames.bsky.social taking calls on all manners of scams

Rip Off Britain - Series 16: 23. No win, no fee cost me ยฃ27,000
Gloria Hunniford, Julia Somerville and the team hear how the promise of a no win, no fee legal action left a man from Burnley with a ยฃ27,000 legal bill after a firm of solicitors went bust.
I appeared on BBC Rip Off Britain today (and made the thumbnail) discussing the hidden risks of 'No Win, No Fee' legal claims.
๐ Law firms need to give you all the info on how they/you are insured

pretty huge news for credit unions - the government is reviewing the requirement for members to have a โcommon bondโ, like the same employer or locality, to help them grow - credit unions are really valuable & under-utilised so itโs just good to see the govโt taking an interest
