With a distinct enough stimulus, like a clicker, and a single programmed response, the brain basically starts to draw a straight line between the two. So it does *whatever* it's been told to do, *whenever* it *thinks* it's been told to do it.

This is why I always caution against single- action clicker training. Conditioned responses can be context-independent! There are definite potential consequences to using clickers to reinforce single specific responses, like barking or cumming. Use clickers carefully!
