More residents were raising their concerns about nearby Garages using their streets as a car park. 1/2

The women of Longsight made sure their voices were heard today so massive thanks to the women and community groups who came along and supported our first meeting.
We are already planning the next session in September ๐๐๐ณ
Over 40 women attended from Longsight & we started a meaningful conversation with the police & council about our experiences of safety & policing in our communities.
We have agreed a number of issues to explore at future meetings. As well as some things for immediate feedback and action.
We had a brilliant turnout today for the first Longsight Womenโs Forum with GMP Longsight & Moss Side.
Thanks to Katie & Sarah from GMP and Jennifer, Yvonne and Jane from the Community Safety and Neighbourhood teams at Manchester City Council.
Longsights Cllrs were out talking to residents in the Belle Vue area today.

Good to be out talking to residentโs on the new estate on the former Dogs site in Belle Vue tonight. A few issues raised by residentโs have taken away by Abid Chohan & I. In particular a number of roads and pavements have still not been finished despite the build being completed

A special afternoon yesterday with Better We CIC celebrating the contribution of older women in our community.
Wonderful to hear about all the amazing work they have been doing since the 1960s leading change and changing lives for the better for over 60 years!
On the last day of the Great British Spring Clean it was great to join residents on Swayfield Avenue.
We collected a massive 25 bags! What a brilliant effort by all the residents.

2/2 Join up between the work of the Council and housing providers is really important so I have taken a few issues away to follow up on.
Whilst there was a problem with a few alleyways the conditions on the roads and pavements and levels of litter was overall good which was great to see.
This morning I joined Ian, one of the Neighbourhood officers from One Manchester for a walkabout around Buckley, Darras, Hemsworth & Holmcroft.
Itโs was good to hear how the neighbourhood working & new patches for the staff are bedding in & the good relationships being built with residents 1/2
