These feckers have already made off with my last almost-five-decades' worth of creative output to try to "teach" their hopped-up answering machine how to fake writing. If anyone ever *breathed* the suggestion to me that I should willingly use that soi-disant "tool"...it would not go well for them.

No mention of masking, and it's wild the article opens with the usual unsubstantiated, uncited "experts" claiming the variant brings "good news" of milderness -- while the actual verifiable experts quoted are like YIKES this is not good news and people are going to die

Mask up and buckle in. #Covid

People will lose vital healthcare coverage if Trump's budget bill passes. One estimate found that this would lead to over 20,000 avoidable deaths per year.

Oh, and a reminder that Joni Ernst is up for re-election in 2026.

Please read, this is important. Sorry it’s long.

Trump’s move to have Elon Musk step aside wasn’t a retreat. It was a distraction. With Musk’s name out of the headlines, many assumed the controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had quietly ended. It hasn’t. It’s just changed hands.

You haven’t β€œlearned to live with COVID” if you’re not aware that people are still dying & becoming disabled or further disabled & chronically ill (LongCOVID) due to COVID infection(s) in the year 2025

COVID can also exacerbate existing chronic illness

Headline: "Democrats seize on a new issue to use against the GOP: Social Security."

Do the MSM reflexively convert all issues into *the politics* of the issue?

Hmmm, let's see. (Lead story in WaPo right now.)

Vaccine Critic Who Used Chemical Castration Drug to Treat Autism Tapped to Lead Federal Immunization Study | National Review Mark Geier had his medical license suspended after the Maryland State Board of Physicians found that his research β€˜endangers autistic children.’

The Autism "study" will be led by a guy who pretended to be a doctor even though he only has a BA in bio and who attempted a small-scale genocide of autistic people through chemical castration, so you know it'll be legit.

In April 2023, this is what a Saturday on the bike looked like for me. A few months later, I got Covid. Now, dawdling 3 km to the shops is a serious ride, requiring rest for a week afterwards.
You can be as fit and healthy as you like, fully vaccinated, and it won't save you from Long Covid.

When we stop talking about COVID-19, policymakers can stop caring Calling COVID-19 β€œover” is factually incorrect and a form of gaslighting when about 15 per cent of infections lead to long COVID.

"A recent study shows one in seven working-age adults has experienced some form of β€œlong COVID.”
This is troubling, but even more troubling is the social inequity of the issue. Of that one in seven, most were poor and low-income workers." #covid19 #LongCovid #policy

Trump’s cruel calculus on public health Blaming COVID to defund public health isn’t about bookkeeping. It’s about whose lives matter enough to fund

"Calling COVID β€œnon-existent” is more than false β€” it is gaslighting on a national scale. As of March 2025, the CDC still reports hundreds of COVID-related deaths weekly, with long COVID disabling up to 15% of those infected β€” including working-age adults."
