This looks like a newspaper photo because someone raised Β£50 for charity. (Very Wernham Hogg)

They also held the contents of the Anatomy Museum that was once on Paradise St in Liverpool. I have lots of catalogues if anyone is as grisly as me πŸ–€

Just read that David Pinner, author of RITUAL, died on Christmas Eve. RITUAL famously inspired THE WICKER MAN.

Such a shame there isn't a real Christmas special for Early Doors or This Country. They'd be staple episodes for so many.
Is it too early to watch the Steptoe xmas specials? When they make the punch in the po - it's officially xmas! πŸŽ„πŸŽ…

A rich vein of Folk Horror ran all the way through WORZEL GUMMIDGE (1979). And one of its most horrific characters was Worzel's own creation: Dafthead!

My auntie's house in the 70's, Gwendoline St, Liverpool.
She painted it herself with help from my uncle & dad.
It was known locally as the 'flower power house'. She also set up a boutique from inside the house which was famous globally. 🌸🌼

My grandad died on 5th Nov 1979, 2 weeks before I was born. He was an immigrant from Bengal and came to the UK after serving in the Merchant Navy.
He set up a lot of businesses & became a well respected member of the Toxteth community. πŸ–€
Pic shows him locking up his coal yard.

My fave detail in the city centre.

This little porthole style detail above a doorway on Berry St. I look for it everytime I pass, just to make sure it's still there. πŸͺŸ

Little remnants like this make my heart sing.

One Foot in the Grave really does get better with (my) age.
Just like Larry David, Victor says all the right things but with absolutely no tact. And it's wonderful.
I always feel so sad coming to the last ep in a rewatch. It's such a joy. 🐒

Last day of #31daysofgraves .
A vault burial in St Patrick's Church, Liverpool.
Sadly didn't get to peek inside but just standing outside Peter Roberts vault felt eerie enough. He died in 1828.

Probably my fave name I've come across on a gravestone - Horatio Ruffley Roberts.
It even has a little carving of him, which is just so charming.
Another gem from St James' Cemetery.
