he #Secondlife Main Grid is now 27806 regions ( 17908 private estates & 9898 Linden owned) This is a net loss of 20 Private Estates and and net gain of 73 Linden Lab Owned (67 are the new style Linden Homes)

As of yesterday #secondlife grid now stands at 27751 regions up 7 from last week. Private Estates number 17923 (+6) and Linden Owned 9828 (+1)

#secondlife 2nd report of 2025 , this week net loss in regions was 25 . Total regions are now 27744.
Private Estates fell by 22 to 17917 and Linden Lab Owned down 3 to 9827 . 24 of the changed regions were renames

Originally there were 21 mobile welcome regions but last week 16 went offline and now another 4 just leaving 1
I’m assuming new avatar signups on mobile are low rather than existing avatars exploring mobile so currently there isn’t the need for 20 of them

It may be a load balancing thing
21 was originally estimated but after initial interest maybe they need less & 5 is enough now
These are welcome areas rather than everyday usage so I probably shouldn’t read too much into this

Just experimenting with auto generation of alt text for these charts/reports

They have plenty of development regions which come and go
Its a little higher than in a normal week but not out of the ordinary

Its any region owned directly by the lab such as Mainland , Linden Home regions, Welcome Regions Etc including a few regions owned by Linden Lab Employees and also development regions and peculiarities like the cornfield etc

Thank You , I joined over a year ago - but just posted for the first time today . I was always a slow learner but I guess increasing the tempo of migration from that other place sort of prompted me to be more active here
