I have never seen so much social capital pissed away so quickly by any one. It's extraordinary. All Starmer had to do was be seen to be acting on principles of good will and hope. Instead, he chose appeasement of the far right and cosying up to dictators. And so, he got Chamberlained.

The chamber was packed at the Second Reading of the Representation of the People Bill last night.

MPs from across the House got up to call for a new voting system. Several more wanted to speak but ran out of time.

Pressure for change is growing. PR is an idea whose time has come 💪
