In all honesty it’s worse than watership down. It’s easy to justify the bad things in watership because they’re wild rabbits and the wild is like that.
Pet dogs and lab animals is a whole other level of heartbreaking
(Fursuit photo) - Sabre, a blue and gold western dragon, is seen with his paws cuffed behind his back. Despite being arrested on dubious charges, he doesn't look all too upset about it. In fact, his tail looks like it's wagging from excitement!
Right on the order of "cuff 'em", you could've sworn you saw the dragon's tail do a little wag...

Other people have suggested, but yeah plastidip. You can paint on TOP of the plastidip with a fabric paint to match the color/tones of the hoof, the plastidip acts as a flexible sealant.
Just be sure to wear a respirator and gloves and spray in a ventilated area. Plastidip is super toxic
