Well sure. I was simplifying for the sake of the bit, Baba does mean grandmother, or at least old woman, and it still strikes me as odd how the writers gave John a decidedly feminine nickname.

I am obligated to like John Wick, but Baba Yaga means grandmother, and I have no idea why that survived the cutting room.
