By deporting these allies to be murdered by the Taliban we are showing the world the emptiness of an American promise.

No one is ever going to trust us again. When we need allies to help us, we will find none. As a result, Americans will needlessly die in far greater numbers in future conflicts.

We promised our Afghan allies we would never do this, yet here we are, sending them back to the Taliban — the very enemy we asked them to help us fight, the same enemy who has vowed to kill our allies should they ever get their hands on them.

Like many veterans who served in Afghanistan, I am only alive today because of an Afghan wartime ally.

Normally I’d call my member of Congress but the Congressional Inquiry office at the VA is shut due to the government shut down. The VA dental clinic told me due to recent cuts all they have are two providers for all of the veterans in Western Colorado.

I’ve been trying to get a dental issue addressed by the VA since August. I was supposed to have my appointment today. They called me this morning and cancelled due to a sick employee. They told me the earliest I can be seen is February. The VA has never been this bad. Trump & MAGA broke the VA.
