At this point, if you’re Iran, you rush to get a bomb because it’s the only way people will stop messing with you - look at the contrast between the Iranian and the North Korean experiences. It would not surprise me at all if Iran now pushes forward by whatever means necessary to get a nuclear bomb.

I fear that Iran has/will have a deal with Russia - military aid and support (hundreds of thousands of drones for example) in their war with Ukraine in exchange for Russia hosting an Iranian nuclear development program on its soil (where it would be presumably safe from Israeli and American attacks)
