“Yangiobod, New City” by Michał Łuczak is presented in the exhibition “Lost Territories: Tracing Imperial Violence” as an examination of extractive violence and its long-term consequences.

Presented within “Lost Territories: Tracing Imperial Violence”, “My Basement” by Jan Brykczyński reflects on the psychological return of war to everyday European consciousness.

Presented within the exhibition “Lost Territories: Tracing Imperial Violence”, Agnieszka Rayss brings together two works that examine how imperial violence is sustained through images and language.

“A Mind of Winter” by Karolina Gembara appears in “Lost Territories: Tracing Imperial Violence” as a long-term investigation into forced migration and border violence in Central and Eastern Europe.

TAFERELEN #50 brings together photographer Rob Hornstra (@theeuropeans.bsky.social) and international programmes specialist Giorgi Aronia to explore what Europe means today, and where its visible and invisible borders lie.

FOTODOK opens "Lost Territories: Tracing Imperial Violence" this Wednesday, 26 November at 17:00. A preview of several works is shown here. The exhibition brings together nearly two decades of research by Sputnik Photos, examining the ongoing impact of Russian imperial and Soviet violence.

FOTODOK presents “Lost Territories: Tracing Imperial Violence”, a group exhibition by Sputnik Photos, the internationally renowned Polish photography collective. Opening on 26 November, 17:00–20:00, and running from 27 November 2025 to 1 March 2026.

Another BOOK TALKS #43 featured project is “Dead End” by Nicola Moscelli, a visual investigation of the United States–Mexico border created entirely without setting foot on its soil.
