We are delighted to announce we will be a part of @biggive.bsky.social ‘Arts for Impact’ campaign.

In August 2024, we were delighted to have Michael Randle visit us. Michael is a lifelong peace activist and researcher who has played a significant role in non-violent direct action in Britain and internationally.

it is not enough to wish for peace - you must be an instrument for it
it takes strength to be gentle placard illustration
peace must have bite
Our visitor feedback has shown that people have really enjoyed reading other people’s contributions to the space. We’ve also really enjoyed reading them and thinking about the ways we can reflect on them as a museum.

Some of the banners respond to the displays in our exhibition, some offer new or alternative perspectives, and some of them contribute something entirely new that we have yet to touch upon in our displays.

In the final section of our exhibition, we ask visitors to contribute their voice to our space as their own peaceful protest by making a banner.
