Here are some pictures from India Day in Novi! The event was held to recognize India’s independence from the United Kingdom on August 15, 1947. I was honored to join Sen. Michael Webber in presenting a tribute during the festivities—an incredible day filled with culture, dance, food, and community!

Despite the downpour yesterday, we had an excellent Community Conversation hour at Walled Lake City Hall! From federal issues and the State budget to boat wake on our lakes - we talked about so many issues that matter.

Stormwater doesn’t stop at county lines, and no single county can manage stormwater alone. SE MI must come together to build a smarter, regional solution. [2/3]

Do you know one of the main reasons why we had massive sewer overflows in Oakland and Macomb Counties earlier this year? It's because our local governments lack a clear framework from the state to inform their stormwater management systems. [1/3]

John and I are love supporting small businesses - and Three Brother's Restaurant in Plymouth is one of our favorites to visit in SD 13. John loves the pierogi and sausage, as it's a familiar, comforting dish his mom used to make. We can't wait until our next visit!

Today, we honor the courage and conviction that gave rise to our nation. As we gather with family and friends, let us reflect on the meaning of independence and the responsibility we share in protecting our democracy.
