I used to have a 78rpm of Stupid Cupid by Connie Francis, which he apparently wrote while still a teenager. He wrote such terrifically catchy pop and his 'comeback' in the 70s was wonderfully deserved.

Just a total lack of respect for and - even less - understanding of anyone that doesn't follow and share his direction and beliefs. 'Things will be better, just do as I say. No exceptions.'

He seems determined to go down in history, doesn't he? Perhaps not quite how he imagines...

Gorton and Denton by-election: Votes being counted The result is due in the early hours of Friday morning - a close race between Labour, Reform UK, and the Greens is expected.

"We've just heard the by-election turnout is 47.62%, which is a relatively high amount.
