tl;dr i miss the social part of social media and kinda just wanna put everything on patreon instead of working my ass off for free and being unappreciated

idk yall i think i’m just frustrated bcuz i’ve been art blocked for almost 2 months and i know my engagement used to be better (on insta AND on bsky) and i love actually really love interacting with the lil community i’ve built but recently it just feels pointless

annoying bcuz why are they following me if most people don’t even leave a like, let alone share anything i give them for FREE! 😩
i know we’re all overwhelmed and socmed is fast-paced but man it costs nothing to support the artists you chose to follow to consume their work, again, for free.

is just annoying bcuz while the engamenet in my stories is okay-ish, interactions on my posts are frustrating to say the least. like i can SEE how many of my followers have seen the post and yet there’s little to no interaction at all (save for the same 5 people who i love dearly) and it’s lowkey–

socmed becomes more and more exhausting as an artist bcuz twt has always been my best platform with the most engagement but has become unusuable, bsky doesnt really have an algorithm which is nice but that also means posts get buried quickly, tumblr is tumblr and always a hit or miss and instagram–
