She's absolutely box office stuff. I love the personalities in the women's game, because the men have had it coached out of them for a nearly 2 decades

Spurs, remarkably by choice

27.04.2025 18:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0How are the #underlyingnumbers? Still good?
27.04.2025 17:58 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0We've got leaks coming from inside the dressing room about injuries, a club at war with it's medical team, Munn on a warpath to cut costs, and a manager on his way out. Aside from a younger squad profile, are things significantly better 2 years on from Conte?
12.03.2025 11:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I know, it's a stretch
22.02.2025 17:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm prepared to declare we are safe from relegation
22.02.2025 16:55 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Still, good news about the hotel
26.01.2025 17:44 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And all the attention and focus doesn't make any difference, it only used to because the finances of finishing outside of European places was so great. Now, even relegation wouldn't touch the sides of what we earn outside of football. We're in so much trouble
26.01.2025 17:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yep, just responding to the normal situation part. It very much is/will be. They don't even have the energy to be cowards
26.01.2025 17:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But could very well become one. We are not above the likes of Southampton, Swansea, Everton, Stoke, who went into death spirals and went down or nearly down after year upon year of decline and failing to replace talent. It's over, just depends how bad it might get
26.01.2025 17:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But are the underlying numbers still good?
26.01.2025 15:16 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've built a machine that can be Confidently Wrong. It can also make pictures that all look a bit the same, as well as make a video of you kissing any celebrity or person you know. In payment, I'd like to boil the world's oceans dry, & steal all literature. For some reason, my head is not on a spike
24.01.2025 10:56 โ ๐ 15732 ๐ 4670 ๐ฌ 87 ๐ 79Most likely the former, as they can't be under any illusions by now
22.01.2025 12:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's one thing to question what message this sends to Ange, but what must the players be thinking? Not just those who have been more outspoken, but the youngsters who signed in the summer, and who are being pushed to their absolute limit? To Porro and Kulu as they worry for their muscles every game?
22.01.2025 10:39 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Love these because they combine 3 of my favourite things: RTR, trivia, and being a fucking loser
21.01.2025 17:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Friends fear he's Sporcle-ing again. youtu.be/3cLr6hqlbeo?...
21.01.2025 16:33 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0The club will be absolutely delighted with that. As long as the losses are by 1 goal, they get to blame it on fine margins
19.01.2025 16:02 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Are the underlying numbers still good?
19.01.2025 14:40 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You can't argue that home games with Oxford, Blackburn, and Middlesbrough aren't a change of games
19.01.2025 09:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0All that's missing from this is the 3 or 4 pressers where the manager hints at needing support, including specifically for Solanke 3 days ago
19.01.2025 08:33 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0That 1-0 home win against Southampton will be good though
18.01.2025 22:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Chelsea away
Liverpool away
West Ham away
Brentford away
Ipswich away
Wolves away
Aston Villa away
That's quite likely fewer than 4 points.
I think 3 weeks ago my tongue was pretty firmly in cheek about relegation, but I actually cannot see where the 4-5 wins come from. Leicester is post Europa, for a start. Away to both Ipswich and Wolves, which are a swing if they're losses. Still got Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham and Brentford away...
18.01.2025 22:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0They didn't think it was worth signing players to back the squad up for a 9 month season, they won't blink at a 6 week layoff for Solanke
18.01.2025 22:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Nor the club. They genuinely don't see a problem
18.01.2025 22:09 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I don't think the injuries this season are entirely bad luck, but even so, this is on another level to anything anyone has seen before. And it's the exact sort of extreme situation that gets you a relegation battle, no matter who you are.
And they're still not going to sign anyone
And yes, injuries, etc. But it's not like there isn't a science behind this either. In mid February, we'll have played as many games as this season as we did the entirety of last season, and with a smaller squad than we had. What did they think would happen? These are the top line numbers
17.01.2025 08:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0See also, all 3 of our draws this season (Leicester, Wolves, and Fulham) were games we led in.
It's not purely unlucky to have thrown away 18 points. It's mentality, fatigue, squad management and tactics.
The article references how every game we've lost this season has been by the odd goal. Aside from that alone not being strictly about luck, take into consideration that 4 of those 11 defeats this season were games we led in. Brighton and Chelsea were games we led by 2.
17.01.2025 08:13 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think there's a bit of a culture of picking and choosing the data for Spurs this season, on both sides of the argument about Ange/the squad. But whichever way you look at it, I cannot for one minute agree that luck is the prevailing factor
