Agreed. Setting aside the fact many of these sites make it so they can sell your DNA info for you using their service. Many of these sites use the cheapest labs, which makes the quality of the results suspect at best, and misleading at worse.

I would say more Americans are aware nowadays, because of things like Ancestry, and 23 and Me. Though a lot of Americans are mutts so it’s hard to claim a specific heritage based on genes, and usually has more to do with the family story. Like where one or both of the great grandparents came from.

I feel the same way for the PS1/Saturn/N64 era as well as the 16-Bit era.

I get it. You have young Europeans in Eastern Europe who have watched for 30 years democratic institutions not live up to the hype. While in Western Europe you have the “original sin” of colonialism and empire tainting anything positive those countries might have done.

Oh absolutely once was enough. Twice is too much. The silver lining is they are both narcissists through and through. Which leads to a volatile situation when they meet, and someone’s ego getting bruised. Just look at the meeting during the Alaska summit for proof.
