...As a dandy in an Austin Powers suit, Martha Washington's beloved cockatoo on his shoulder, all set against a whimsical botanical background. The viewer can don Chromadepth 3D glasses to peer back into the rift.

Okay, so we've got a surrealist acrylic portrait of George Washington. He's wearing a suit from the opening scene of Austin Powers: Goldmember - complete with male symbol necklace. He also has Martha's pet cockatoo on his shoulder. They're placed against a botanical background of bright orange, blue flowers, vines, and foliage. The frame is gold with black accents.

It can be frustrating but now that I've been working in it for a while (about 7 years) I actually find it easier than acrylics 😅 It really helped to take a few watercolor workshops -- they demystified it for me! You live in such a beautiful area, thank you for sharing it with us!

I'll have to put it on my travel bucket list! There's just something about rock formations that fascinate me. When I see them, I imagine their formation in time lapse and try to wrap my head around what else was going on in the world over that time span. Thanks for sharing your connection ❤️
