I was was at that SDCC panel too! Brought along my original Fox poster, had Carleton Cuse & Julius Carry autograph it there - Bruce had signed it years before…

I still have a couple of those Comets - found them during a cleanup a while back…

Local grocery store had a 4lb package of ground beef marked down to about 5 bucks (75% off!) because today was the sell-by date… still fresh, looked fine…

Damn right I snapped that up - divided three re-packs of a pound each into the freezer, the rest into a meatloaf tonight, with leftovers… :)

It’s a shame more people don’t remember this one, but I’d have to go with THE ADVENTURES OF BRISCO COUNTY, JR.

Love that show - bought the DVD set on a whim back when it first came out in 2005, as I’d enjoyed Lenny Henry is other things…

My mother still uses a cutting board shaped like a pig I made in a woodcutting class while in the Cub Scouts back in the 70s…

I think the oldest dishes I still use regularly are ones I bought myself in the early 90s, except for a Snoopy mug in got back around 1977…

Personally, I prefer DST, as we're very close to the western edge of the Eastern time zone, so we get daylight very late into the evenings during the summer.... I like being able to ride my bike and stay out past 9pm, and the sun's only *just* setting...

Drive me nuts that they’ve been ambushed by That Thing, they’re on the run from it, and do they try to hide? No, let’s all just hike across ridges and clear areas with no cover!

That whole special (Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra) is full of wonderful moments, if you can find it… seems like only random pieces are online…

I love his Cockney version of the William Tell Overture…

Sounds like one guy who told me he’d never watch a movie longer than 90 minutes. Told me he turns them off after that point, as he β€œain’t got time for fluff.”

I told him he was an idiot.

We’re not friends. :)

They still keep one hallway with the carpet behind the front desk - if you ask nicely, they'll let you back there... :)

WWIV was the most common around here - still have friends IRL from those days, when we started having actual meetups outside the boards... long live the FLUG! (Food Lover's User Group - met every Saturday at a different restaurant)
