Story accompanying previous illustration. Full text: "The cemetery did not have a gate, nor a fence to ward off unwelcomed visitors. (...) Instead of a gate, there were guardians: tall and centuries old, with bare gnarled branches swirling up to the clouded sky. Six mighty oak trees, three of them standing sentry on each side of the cemetery. (...) He passed this particular oak every time he went for a stroll there. It was usually quiet as if from respect for the dead. But this time, it felt different. There was something in the air that was telling. Even the caws of the ravens echoing through the gloomy meadow were filling the air with unease. The dead. They were restless. He knew that if he proceeded, he'd soon unearth the reason for this feeling. The dead always knew. That’s why he came here."

Yearly piece for the series "Poppies of the Great War"

This time inspired by the effect of war on the working class and the soil itself.

This time the yearly 'Poppies of the Great War' piece is dedicated to the nature's cycle and the fading beauty of it. As well as the soil which welcomed all those who have fallen, to let them bloom again someday at least for a short time.

A poem following the illustration of Enchanted Masquerade: The ballroom was empty when you arrived, dark and grand (You entered on your own, no invitation in hand) But the memory of voices lingered, a song without a band (You were never on their list, entry only by demand) Your eyes are drawn to a mirror and there framed in gold (You don't belong here, how could you have been so bold) You see horrors in the looking glass as their tragedies unfold (Your skin prickles with unease, you're cold, so cold) Blood drips down the walls now, staining the marble at your feet (You thought you could escape attention, such a foolhardy conceit) Their empty eyes follow every movement as hastily you try retreat (It's too late now, too late! they've noticed your deceit)

Both of his hands are being tied by red strings and his overal posture is reminiscent of a puppet. There is a gate towering above the figure and two SEEDS ships in the far background on both sides of the red gate. There are two skeletons on the ground who look like they died crawling to the throne. The last detail is a blue colored coin snapped into two pieces lying on a ground. The colors of the tarot card (blue, red, white and purple tones) are very vibrant.
