If you're a computer geek like me, you know there are 86400 seconds in a day; you'd be surprised how often that number comes up. Then just do the math via estimates (or for real) and move on when it looks like there's no way the result is getting close to that number.

Fwiw, every motorcycle from a legit manufacturer isn't that loud, as there are regs for production vehicles. Every loud motorcycle, the owner chose to make it that way. The cops don't enforce it, because they go home and ride their own loud motorcycle.

The real power of using a sed/awk/grep one-liner for things you could do faster by hand is you're exercising that skill. At some point, you'll use that skill to pipe something together like a *$&#@ magician that would take hours to do any other way. Ideally during some critical moment.
