I'm a millennial who grew up in very conservative Christian circles. Many of my FB friends are grieving his death and celebrating him as an example of how Christians should be. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his murder, but I'm also a bit disturbed to see him portrayed as a Christian martyr.

Like many Never Trumpers and other people with a public profile, I have been on the receiving end of death threats for years just for speaking my mind.
